The role of imagination and intuition in effective decision making: A research towards of hotel managers

Decision-making is a matter that is meticulously approaching the results throughout history, and it is at the heart of the management's activities. For this reason, it is important for decision-makers to use their intuition and imagination in decision-making in order to see the future in terms of the quality and continuity of the decision. Therefore, it was determined that the aim of this thesis was to find out the effects of imagination and intuition powers while examining the decisions of middle and senior managers in the hotel enterprises. The study is divided into two parts as theoretical and practical, and the literature section is written by considering the variables of the thesis in the theoretical department. In the application part, questionnaires were directed to the nineteen four and five star hotel managers in Balikesir province by using the semi-structured interview technique with the prepared interview form and taken the data. The obtained data are qualitative data and results are obtained by applying descriptive and content analysis in the findings to analyze these data. Within the results, it has been determined that the hotel managers use the intuitions rather than the imagination, and various suggestions are presented.
