Abstract (EN)

Consumption is also a process of social and cultural dimensions along with being a simple act of buying. Besides requirement, consumption is based on the desires. According to the roles of women in society, consumption habits vary. In this study woman's needs and their consumption trends have been studied as a symbolic distinction. Women's media, malls, credit cards, and its impact on the consumption of free time activities such as fashion that socio-cultural factors that inference the behaviour of consumers housewives' consumption process has been searched. The the ory of consumption is embraced, in "Factors Determining Consumption Habits of Housewives: Sample of Araban District". After explaining differed aspects of consumption, the execution process starts. In-depth interview method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, is used in this research. Within this context, face-to-face meetings are made with 81 participants; then, the transcription of the records of meetings is analysed via descriptive analysis method.
