Abstract (EN)
"The Effect of Home Management and Nutritional Education to the Kitchen Activities of the Woman" It is wanted that household management and nourishment education should effect the kitchen activities in a positive way. This research was done to compare the kitchen activities of 95 female teachers who were educated and 95 female teachers who were not educated on this topic in occupation high schools in 8 metropolitan towns of Ankara. And the datum were collected by questionnaire technique. Additionally, 50 teachers who were educated and 50 teachers who were uneducated filled "time Evaluation Forms" for 3 days. Most of the people who were researched are aged 37- 46 with 2 children. And most of them live in their own houses. In the kitchens it is found that wall to wall carpet is used at least by the group who were not educated (3.2 %). The rate of the people who had window screens in the kitchens is 11.1 %. The difference between two groups is unimportant. One wall kitchen and 6-8 m2 size kitchen are common. Steel pots are mostly used most of the people have grills (used for toasting sandwiches) and mixers (The rate of the people who haven't got grills in educated group is 16.8 %, in uneducated group in 15.8 %. The rate of the people who haven't got mixers in educated group is 28.4 %). Some of them have microwave ovens (10.0 %). It is found that in the kitchen 17 % of people don't use apron (educated group 14.8 %, uneducated group 21.0 %) and 52.6 % of people don't cover their hair while cooking. 49.4 % of the people who were educated and 43.2 % öf the people who were uneducated on household management and nourishment education states that the dishes get cleaner when they are washed in dishwasher. It is determined that majority of the people vacuum. The kitchen and nearly half of them clean the kitchen ground from stey to stem everyday. The difference between the groups is important about the frequency of cooking. Cooking is one of the mostly done activities in the kitchen. The rate of the people who clean their refrigerator and cupboards once a month is 47.3 %, once in fifteen days is 30 %. Another important difference between two groups was the frequency of cleaning the oven. The group who were educated spend 4.23 hours. The group who were uneducated spend 4.33 hours in the kitchen. Generally it is suggested that the topics such as kitchen planning, hygiene in the kitchen, ease the work suggested to practice. In all the fields of formal education and especially household management and nutrition lessons.
