Abstract (EN)
The phenomenon of excessive smoking and alcohol usage is very frequent around the globe, despite acknowledging its downsides to human health in general and to adolescent health in particular. Alcoholic cigarette smoking greatly increases morbidity and mortality from infectious illnesses and the risk of a variety of diseases. The purpose of current research is to reveal the impact of heavy smoking and alcohol usage on renal function tests and electrolytes in men. Experimental participants aged between 30-65 years smoked for 10 years at least, Venous blood samples were taken, and assess the biochemical parameters for kidney function tests and electrolytes for repeated smoking and alcohol consumption in males. Depending on the results of the current study, it has been discovered that alcohol consumption was associated with a decline in kidney function, there are several possible explanations for the inverse relationship between alcohol consumption and decline in kidney function. To begin with, polyphenolic compounds found in alcoholic beverages have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, both of which may have renal protective effects. Alcohol has both negative and positive impacts on renal function. Glomerular and tubulointerstitial damage are possible side effects, especially in people who already have kidney disease or who drink too much alcohol.
