Özet (EN)

Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between quality of care and quality of life. Methods: The research was conducted with relational survey model. 109 physically disabled and caregivers were included in Konak district of İzmir. Socio-demographic characteristics of disabled and caregivers, WHOQOL-BREF-D, WHODAS-II and QOCS-D scales were used in the study. Data were collected by face to face interview. In the analysis, SPSS 21 and Stata 14 were used. Results: Half of the disabled people who participated in the study were women. The mean age was 58,8 ± 18,3, 48,6% were married and 31,2% were uneducated. 10.1% of the participants were congenitally disabled. The mean duration of disability was 18,5±16,7 years. The health insurance of 64,2% of the disabled was SGK and the green card of 33,9%. There was a significant correlation between QOC-S total score and WHOQOL-BREF-D mental, social, environmental and disability modules (p<0,05). In addition, a significant correlation was found between the WHODAS-II total score and all dimensions of the quality of life scale (p<0,01). Social security, income, duration of disability, parental consanguinity, and educational status were also significant variables. In the multivariate linear regression analysis, the WHODAS-II total score showed a significant correlation with all dimensions of quality of life, while the QOC-S total score was found to have an impact on the social, environmental and disability module. Conclusion: The main factors affecting the quality of life of physically disabled people were disability and quality of care. Both factors affected the quality of life of people with disabilities.
