Abstract (EN)
It is seen that remote working practices, whose field of application was forced to expand due to the prohibitions in force during the pandemic period, continue to find a place in business life after the pandemic. It is considered that reasons such as efficiency, cost reduction, employee needs and demands, etc. play an important role in this issue. Studies show that working from home processes/practices do not have the same effect on all employees. It has been determined that the working arrangements that individuals carry out from places other than offices and mostly from their homes, apart from the classical working order, affect employees mentally and physically, but there is no consensus on whether these effects are positive or negative. Considering the intertwining of work-family boundaries and the differences in work-family demands and needs due to today's working from home processes, it is important to observe the relationships between "Mental Well-Being" - "Marital Satisfaction" - "Parental Burnout" among those who work from home. It was evaluated that it would be useful to examine the effects of people's demographic determinants on the mentioned factors. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on the internet within a sample of 412 people. In addition to demographic questions, the "Marital Satisfaction" scale (Tezer, 1996), the "Parental Burnout" scale (Roskam, 2018) and the "Mental Well-Being" index (Tenant et al., 2017) were used in the survey studies. It has been determined that the validity and reliability levels of the scales used are sufficient based on the results obtained from previous studies Based on the data obtained, it was observed that there was a positive relationship between marital satisfaction and well-being in general for people working from home, and a negative relationship between parental burnout and marital satisfaction-mental well-being. It has been determined that there is a negative relationship between marital satisfaction and mental well-being, a positive relationship between parental burnout and its sub-dimensions and mental well-being levels. Regarding the relationship of demographic variables on the selected factors that are the subject of research, it has been determined that the relationship differs depending on the selected demographic variable. In other words; It was not determined that all demographic variables had an effect on the factors under research, but it was observed that the gender variable could create a difference, especially in terms of parental burnout.
