Termination of the adoption ralationship and its legal consequences

The establishment of an adoption relationship aims to create a permanent bond between the adoptee and the adopter. An adoption relationship validly established cannot be terminated due to the principle of the "indissolubility of the adoptive bond." In this context, the dissolution of an adoption relationship is only possible if it is legally invalid. In the event of a deficiency in the consent, substantive, or procedural requirements of adoption, a lawsuit for the revocation of the adoption relationship must be filed within one year from the date the ground for revocation is discovered. Since the grounds for the revocation of an adoption relationship are exhaustively enumerated in the law, it is not possible to revoke the relationship by asserting a ground other than those specified. In the period following the valid establishment of the adoption relationship, it is possible for the relationship to become unbearable due to reasons arising from either the adopter or the adoptee. Given the absence of an explicit provision on this matter in the current legislation and the adoption of an approach in judicial practice that precludes the termination of the adoption relationship, how this issue is regulated in various legal systems and the applicability of these regulations to our law have become a subject of debate.
