The relationship between dyadic coping with stress and coronavirus anxiety in married individuals

Abstract (EN)

Covid 19 has a significant negative impact on our lives every day, especially in the area of health. The study's main aim is to examine the link between stress coping skills and coronavirus anxiety among married couples. Additionally, demographic variables were assessed with dyadic coping and coronavirus anxiety. The dyadic coping with stress scale and coronavirus anxiety scale were used to measure the participants' coping abilities. The survey included 412 married couples from different provinces of Turkey. The Relational Screening Model was used as the basis for this study. SPSS 21 program was used to evaluate the data. This paper aims to bring up the issue in light of the findings discovered. It was determined that the mean scores of Dyadic Coping with Stress and the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale did not differ statistically significantly according to the gender variable. It was determined that the mean scores of the Dyadic Coping with Stress Inventory and the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale did not differ statistically significantly according to the education level variable. It was determined that the mean score of the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale differed statistically significantly according to the variable of the year of marriage. It was determined that the mean scores of Dyadic Coping with Stress as a Couple Inventory did not differ statistically significantly according to the variable of marriage year. It was determined that the mean score of the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale differed statistically significantly according to the variable of the number of marriages. It was determined that the mean scores of Dyadic Coping with Stress as a Couple Inventory did not differ statistically significantly according to the variable of the number of marriages. It was determined that the mean scores of the Dyadic Coping with Stress Inventory and the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale did not differ statistically significantly according to the number of children variable. It was determined that the average scores of Dyadic Coping with Stress in Pairs and the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale did not differ statistically significantly according to the variable of being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder diagnosed by a mental health (psychiatrist / psychologist) in the past. It was determined that the mean scores of Dyadic Coping with Stress as a Pair and the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale did not differ statistically significantly according to the variable of ongoing anxiety disorder regardless of this situation. It was determined that the average scores of the Dyadic Coping with Stress in Pairs Inventory differed statistically significantly according to the variable of those diagnosed with anxiety disorder and the status of receiving psychotherapy support for ongoing anxiety disorder. Regardless of this situation, it was determined that the mean score of the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale did not differ statistically significantly according to the variable of those diagnosed with anxiety disorder and receiving psychotherapy support for ongoing anxiety disorder. It was determined that there is a statistically significant relationship between Dyadic Coping with Stress as a Pair and the scores of the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale.
