Abstract (EN)

Marriage is defined as an institution where two opposite sexes can live together in a legal framework and share certain responsibilities for various reasons. In their marriage life, couples act together to provide basic needs such as food, shelter and protection against external threats. Unity and togetherness provide a life that includes the satisfaction and sexual satisfaction created by positive couple relationships, and the sharing of roles. In addition, social roles and responsibilities, personal entrepreneurship and creativity are supported and developed in the life of couples (Gülsün et al., 2009). Social rules, including sexuality, sexual satisfaction, and the harmonious relationship of two people, are determined as value judgments and taboos. At the same time, sexuality can be defined as a special life that has biological, psychological and social aspects. Sexuality is associated with intense feelings of pleasure, but not all behaviors related to haza are sexual (Gülsün et al., 2009). Bowlby (1969) defines the concept of attachment as the deep emotional bonds in the relationships individuals see as important and feel towards those they evaluate. Bowlby suggested that people are born with an instinctive sense of attachment. However, Bowlby advocated the idea of connecting to a figure stronger than himself and continuing his life within the framework of a person in order to survive without any connection with the outside world. Attachment is a necessary condition for all living things. Attachment forms the basis of interpersonal relationships and adult relationships are also supported by the relationship established between the caregiver and the infant (Bowlby, 2008). The research model was designed as a relational scanning model. According to the model created, a descriptive study was conducted by determining the effect of sexual attitude and attachment relationship on marital satisfaction in individuals aged 18-65. Data collection tools of the research; Demographic Information Form, Marital Life Scale, Hendrick Sexual Attitude Scale and Experiences in Close Relationships Inventory II. The aim of this study is to determine whether sexual attitudes and attachment relationships of married individuals have an effect on marital satisfaction and, if so, to what extent. According to the results of the study, anxious and avoidant attachment decreases marital satisfaction. As sexual attitude increases, marital satisfaction increases. Not being self-centered in sexuality increases marital satisfaction.
