Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is investigatig of infidelity tendency and forgiveness level depending on the differences on attachment styles in married couples. The actors of this study are consisted of 200 (193 women, 97 men) married people who live in Adana. Participants were given Personal Information Sheet for determination of demographic variables. Relationships Scale Questionnare is applied for the definition of attachment styles, the questionnare is devoleped by Griffin and Bartholomew (1994), and Turkish adaptation is made by Sumer (1999). In order to determine married couples' infidelity tendency, Infidelity Tendency Questionnaire is applied, the questionnaire is developed by Polat (2006). Heartland Forgiveness Scale is applied for the measurement of forgiveness level, the scale is developed by Thompson and others (2005). T-Test and Regression Analyse are used for the data analyses. Statistical analyses and assesments are shown that there is not significant difference between infidelity tendency and forgiveness in terms of attachment styles. Furthermore, women have a significant positive affect on forgiveness level and infidelity tendency. Key words: Infidelity tendency, forgiveness level, attachment styles.
