Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to compare the psychological resilience levels of married and divorced individuals. The sample of this research consists of 260 married and divorced individuals who live in Konak, Izmir. "Resilience Scale for Adults" and "Personal Information Form" were used to obtain information. The data were analyzed through SPSS Statistical Programming with the help of Mann Whitney U Test in nonparametric tests. As a result of this research, it has been seen that there is a positive correlation between being married and resilience in gender scale in family cohesion sub-dimention. The findings point out that there are statistically and significantly positive correlation between age variables and resilience levels of married and divorced individuals. There are no interactions between marital status and resilience on perception of self, future of self and structured style sub-dimentions, but the findings showed that social competence, family cohesion and social resource levels of married individuals are statistically and significantly higher than those who are divorced. In addition, the results showed that there are correlation in educational status, number of children, employment status and the level of income variables of married and divorced individuals in different sub-dimentions.
