Özet (EN)

Our main goal in this study is to make an effort to understand human beings by focusing on such a complex and multifaceted topic as sacrificial rituals. Based on the possibility that people's behavior is dominated by their beliefs, thoughts, cultures, and many other factors, it seems interesting to examine a phenomenon such as the ritual of sacrifice that has existed in different cultures for centuries. The fact that the topic of sacrifice is related to many social sciences necessitates the need to refer to different fields. We use many sources from fields such as philosophy, history of religions, sociology, psychology, history, anthropology, and literature as references. The multifaceted nature of the subject necessitates such a study, which in a sense enriches the thesis. The study consists of three interconnected parts: 1) To get an idea about the origin of sacrificial rituals, to present examples of different sacrificial rituals such as the use of sacrifice as a means of purification or the use of sacrifice for the construction of a building. 2) The view of monotheistic religions on the phenomenon of sacrifice. In this context, to analyze meanings attributed to sacrifice in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and the continuity between these religions through this phenomenon. 3) Sacrificial rituals and music; to reveal the complementary role of music in sacrificial rituals.
