Calculation of domestic solid waste costs

As a result of the increasing consumption habit due to rapidly increasing population and over urbanization, a large increase in the amount of solid waste has occurred. As a result of the damages caused by the increase of solid waste to the environment and people, studies have started to be carried out both at national and international level. For effective waste management, there is a need for a system that includes state institutions, non-governmental organizations, private sector and every citizen. The organizations responsible for waste management should develop projects and applications that will enable the participation of individuals. Thanks to the system developed by (industrial)developed countries, we can see that it reduces the amount of waste to a great extent and has made significant progress in terms of waste recycling. Although our country is working on harmonization within the legislation, it is necessary to accelerate its activities at national level by taking the practices that are successful at international level as an example. This thesis includes the change in the period from the introduction of environmental regulations to the urban solid waste applications that are in our country, domestic solid waste cost calculations and solid waste cost analysis. The aim of this study is to examine the details of the cost calculations of solid wastes and to analyze the variables affecting the solid waste disposal costs of the "Manisa Province Uzunburun Solid Waste Disposal and Landfill Facility". In this context, the 12-month data of the facility, which was established in October 2017, was analyzed using simple and multiple regression analysis methods, and the results of the analysis were interpreted to determine the effect levels of the variables affecting the cost.
