Abstract (EN)
In this study, a vertical type ground source heat pump (GSHP) system was designed to heat a restaurant in Istanbul in the winter months and to meet the need of hot water and to cool it in summer. Then the designed GSHP system is combined with the solar energy system to design a new hybrid system (SAGSHP). These systems, modeled with the help of TRNSYS (Transient Simulation System) software, are simulated for one year for 100 m depth of drilling, 12 m2 collector area, 350 lt tank volume in the Istanbul climatic conditions. Both systems were then simulated for different drilling depths (75 m, 100 m, 125 m), collector areas (4 m2, 8 m2, 12 m2) , tank volumes (350 lt, 600 lt) and 8 different provincial (İstanbul, Ankara, Çanakkale, Hakkari, İzmir, Konya, Muğla, Trabzon) climatic conditions in order to study the parameters affecting both systems. According to the results obtained, the SAGSHP system for Istanbul conditions consumes 30% less energy per year than the GSHP system. 58% of the energy consumed by the SAGSHP system is provided by the sun. the annual amount of energy consumed during the cooling of the restaurant with the help of the same vertical type GSHP system increased by 47.38% compared to heating. The highest annual energy consumption for the SAGSHP system was obtained for Hakkari (4753.92 kW) and the lowest annual energy consumption (1797.13 kW) for Izmir.
