An exploratory study on the effects of femininity/masculinity, happiness, space/time perspectives of individuals on assessment of megatrends and corporate foresight project results

Corporate foresight creates a vision to look beyond the close environment of organizations. There is a vast use of corporate foresight in strategy development, as well as in innovation development, marketing and in R&D. However, a number of common problems of its use and integration create problems on the conversion of foresight project results into actual change in corporations.This is the first study to explore the effects of femininity/masculinity, happiness, and space/time perspectives of individuals on assessment of mega-trends and corporate foresight project results via Integrated Corporate Foresight Model.The study also proposes a new and integrated framework for the pitfalls in and success factors of corporate foresight projects in order to facilitate better conversion of their results into actual changes in corporations. The study proposes increasing the 5 C?s of successful foresight projects into 12 C?s by incorporating content, competence, change, continuity, courage, curiosity and connectedness, and linking them with possible pitfalls likely to be fallen into in different phases and stages of corporate foresight projects.This thesis plans to look at those factors ? and their effects ? in order to provide a contribution both to the receiving end and to the decision making process of foresight studies. This can either help to support the reliability of the foresight studies as they have been implemented or may bring a new methodological challenge.
