A study on determining the evaluation criteria of Expo organizations

Mega events; large-scale organizations that offer the opportunity to promote the historical and cultural values of the host country and the cities in which they are held. Expo organizations, one of the most comprehensive events organized after the International Olympics and the World Cup, fall into the category of mega events in terms of both the number of visitors and the duration. Expo organizations; It is an international event type that emerged with the demand of exhibiting the technological, economic and social developments brought about by the Industrial Revolution and offers the opportunity of cultural interaction to the representatives and visitors of countries from all over the world. With the study, it is aimed to determine the evaluation criteria to increase the success of the Expo organizations and to obtain the findings for the success of the Expo organizations with the analysis study made on the examples of Lisbon, Antalya and Kahramanmaraş. With the analysis study, the compliance of the determined samples with the EXPO evaluation criteria was determined. As a result, it has been predicted that the success of Expo organizations depends on many parameters, but the main and sub-criteria determined within the scope of the study can be classified as main criteria.
