Previously unstudied parts of Fâ'iz Efendi and Şâkir Bey Mecmua (Edition critical)

Mecmuas are among the important sources that shed light on the history of Turkish literature. They reveal the sociocultural, historical and literary aspects of the period in which they were written. The work we are working on is a mecmu containing the poems of many poets who lived in the Tulip Period. This collection, written by Fāʾiz Efendi and Şâkir Bey on the orders of Damat İbrahim Pasha, is registered in Süleymaniye Library, Halet Efendi Library, with the number 763. It contains many poems addressed to Sultan Ahmed III and Damat Ibrahim Pasha. There are 537 poems in Fâ'iz Efendi and Şâkir Bey's Mecmua, which consists of 636 leaves., which consists of 636 leaves. In addition to the famous poets of the period, it is also valuable in that it contains poems by previously unknown poets. Most of the poems in this collection are in the verse form of qasida. The history verses written for the important events of the period are another remarkable aspect of the compendium. In previous studies on the compendium, most of the qasida and dates, the fihrist section, tercî'-i bend, terkîb-i bend, ghazal, ghazal-i müzeyyel, museddes, thank-you note, lügaz, manzume, nazm, muaşşer, kıtʿa, tahmis, masnavi, arz-ı hâl and musammat have been transferred to Latin letters. This thesis aims to present the translated texts of 46 poems that have not been studied before, and to bring together all of the poems of Fāʾiz Efendi and Şāʾir Bey's Mecmua, except for Arabic and Persian poems and prose, in the order of the Mecmua, by taking the first, pseudonym and last couplets of the poems in the previous studies that were not based on the order in the Mecmua. This study consists of three parts except the introduction and conclusion. In the introduction, general information about the Tulip Period is given and the sociocultural and political structure of the period is presented. A sub-heading provides information about the localization movement and its reflections on the Tulip Period. In the first part, after giving information about Fâ'iz Efendi and Şâkir Bey Mecmua, the poems in the verse forms of qasida, terkib-i bend and masnavi included in the study are analyzed and information about the poets is given. In the second part, under the title of "Translated Written Text", a total of 40 qasida, 4 masnavi and 2 terkib-i bend, 13 of which are history qasida, which have not been studied by us before, have been transferred to Latin letters, and the poems that are not included in the divan of the poets who own the divan are indicated in the footnotes and the translated written text is presented. In the third section, only the first, if any, pseudonyms and last couplets of the previously studied poems are given, and the poems studied by us are included in their entirety. By transferring the Turkish poems in the Mecmua to Latin letters, it is aimed to provide information about the poets living in the Lale Period, as well as the sociocultural, historical and literary aspects of the period, to bring to light poets whose names have not been heard before, and to bring the unknown poems of poets whose names have been heard to the world of science.
