Abstract (EN)

DNA methylation in wheat (Triticum aestivum) exposed to UV-C stress was investigated by RAPD, CRED-RA and IRAP techniques. A total of 27 primers were used for RAPD, CRED-RA and IRAP. Specimens exposed to UV-C at different doses with the control group were grown for 14 days. In all 3 methods, the %polymorphism increased with the applied UV dose, but the %GTS values decreased. As the level of UV radiation increased, genomic instability increased and it was observed that this stress factor caused DNA hypermethylation. RAPD, CRED-RA, IRAP profiles have provided qualitative information about DNA damage, mutation, methylation, chromosomal aberrations, double chain breaks, modification, replication, transcription and oxidation.
