The place of the deliberative virtues in moral and political philosophy of Farabi

It is issued the place of the deliberative virtues in ethical and political philosophy of Farabi on this thesis. It must be known human soul and its powers to see the place of the deliberative virtues in ethical and political philosophy. According to Farabi, the true happiness is achieved through powers inherent in human nature. It is also necessary to have the healthy soul to achieve the true happiness. In addition, it is necessary to have the practical knowledge for the true happiness. The function of the practical intellect should not be forgotten in human actions. It will make easy for us to understand the practical intellect by studing it with those concepts: happiness, perfection, good, bad, intellect and weakness of will. There are voluntary intelligibles behind the actions in the field of ethics and politics. Depending on the occurrence at a certain time, in a certain place and a certain event, voluntary intelligibles actually brought into existence by volution in that they have changeable accident, The deliberative power is playing an active role in to come into being the mentioned voluntary intelligibles. However, the deliberative virtue is the virtue which discover the most useful things in achieving any virtuous purpose. The deliberative virtue is unthinkable in isolation by the virtues such as theoretical, moral and practical virtue in the field of both morality and politics.
