Investigation of the effects of knee isokinetic exercise applied at different angle velocity on blood lactate and lactate removal times

Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of knee isokinetic exercise applied at different angular speeds on blood lactate and lactate removal times. For this purpose, 12 healthy sedentary individuals participated in the study. Acute effect was determined by the study. Knee isokinetic exercise protocol was applied to the subjects participating in the study at different angular speeds (60 o/s-1 (15 repetitions) / 180 o/s-1 (15 repetitions) / 240 o/s-1 (15 repetitions). Each angular velocity was applied on different days, and lactate levels were recorded by taking blood samples from the subjects immediately before, immediately after, 30 minutes later and 1 hour after each application. Isokinetic knee strength measurements were made with an isokinetic dynamometer (CSMI Cybex Humac Norm, USA). Measurements of blood lactate levels were performed by taking blood from the fingertip. The blood samples taken were evaluated with the portable lactate analyzer Lactate Plus (+) (LSP, SensLab GmbH, Germany). SPSS 20.0 package program was used for the statistical analysis of the study. Repeated Measures One Way Anova Analysis was applied to compare the averages of the data obtained. Correlation analysis was performed for the relationship between isokinetic parameters and blood lactate values. Values are presented as minimum, maximum, average and standard deviation and were examined at the 0.05 significance level. As a result of the data obtained, no significant difference was found in the blood lactate level taken at T1, T2, T3 and T4 at angular velocities of 60 o/s-1-180 o/s-1-240 o/s-1 (p>0.05). As a result of the analysis comparing blood lactate levels taken in different time periods, a significant difference was detected in blood lactate levels taken before and after loading at angular speeds of 60 o/s-1-180 o/s-1-240 o/s-1 (p<0.05). A moderate negative relationship was detected between 60 o/s-1 PTex and PTflx and T1 (p<0.05). A moderate negative relationship was detected between 180 o/s-1 PTex and PTflx and T2 (p<0.05). A moderate positive relationship was detected between 240 o/s-1 PTex and PTflx and T3 (p<0.05). A moderate positive relationship was detected between 240 o/s-1 PTex and PTflx and T3 (p<0.05). A high negative relationship was detected between 60 o/s-1 FIex x and FIflx and T4 (p<0.05). A moderate negative relationship was detected between 180 o/s-1 FIex x and FIflx and T1, T2 and T3 (p<0.05). As a result of the analysis, no relationship was detected between 240 o/s-1 FIex x and FIflx and T1, T2, T3 and T4 (p>0.05). As a result, it can be said that knee isokinetic exercises performed at different angular velocities have an effect on blood lactate and lactate removal times. Additionally, it can be said that there is a relationship between PTex, PTflx, FIex and FIflx at different angular velocities.
