Abstract (EN)
In this study, CTM, ARR and Thermal Tolerance Polygon Areas of 13 aquarium fish species were determined at 20, 24 and 28 °C water acclimation temperatures. The values of CTM were determined as 4.50-39.60°C in goldfish (Carassius auratus), 4.83-38.20 °C in koi (Cyprinus carpio carpio), 7.63-38.23 °C in doctor fish (Garra rufa), 12.76-36.56 °C in tetrazone (Puntius tetrazona), 7.66-40.36 °C in zebra danio (Brachydanio rerio), 10.60-40.80 °C in guppy (Poecilia reticulata), 7.76-40.23°C in molly (Poecilia latipinna), 11.50-38.56 °C in electric yellow (Labidochromis caeruleus), 10.56-37.53 °C in blue moorii (Cyrtocara moorii), 12.43-39.16 °C in angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare), 11.06-38.60 °C in gourami (Trichogaster trichopterus), 9.76-35.73 °C in commando cory (Corydoras paleatus) and 11.96-39.50 °C in bristlenose catfish (Ancistrus dolichopterus). The most sensitive species against fluctuations in low temperature were tetrazone, gourami, electric yellow, bristlenose catfish, blue moorii, angelfish, guppy, molly, cory, koi, zebra danio, goldfish and doctor fish, while the most sensitive species against fluctuations in high temperature were gourami, koi, zebra danio, cory, tetrazone, goldfish, doctor fish, electric yellow, bristlenose catfish, molly, guppy, blue moorii and angelfish. As for Thermal Tolerance Polygon Area values, the species from the widest to narrowest were found to be; goldfish, koi, zebra danio, molly, doctor fish, guppy, gourami, bristlenose catfish, blue moorii, electric yellow, angel fish, cory and tetrazone. In terms of low temperature resistance, the most suitable aquarium fish species for aquaculture in the subtropical regions of our country are concluded to be goldfish, koi, doctor fish, zebra danio and molly.
