Abstract (EN)

In this study, a visual assessment of the potential users of landscape components connected to different land cover in Yuvacık Dam Basin together with their opinions and preferences about this area was made and as a result of this research area was evaluated in terms of visual landscape quality. Today, the psychological and physiological problems experienced as a result of congestion, air and water pollution and problems caused by social problems in the cities where most of them live constitute the desire of people to return to the nature even if they are short term. On the other hand, in today's world where human impacts are most felt, the rapid change of land cover and land use has the effect on forests and semi-natural areas that we need most. In addition, uncontrolled conversion of fertile agricultural land to artificial land causes irreversible destruction of land. Visual assessment is important for revealing, preserving and maintaining the original characteristics of the land. The main material of the study is the dam lake, stream, rocky, cave, forest area, recreation area, plateau, settlement area and road habitat types in Yuvacık Dam Basin, photographs taken from these areas and a questionnaire prepared with these photographs. Each photograph was evaluated by potential users on Likert scale in terms of compliance, naturalness, well-being, clarity, regularity, mobility, excitability, safety, and landscape beauty parameters (I strongly agree, agree, undecided, disagree, strongly agree). Based on the data obtained, statistical relationships were established between the components in the study area and the parameters. According to this, cave was the most attended area in terms of compatibility, naturalness, excitement and beauty of the landscape, while creek was the most well maintained, open, tidy and mobile area. At the same time, correlational relationships were established between demographic characteristics and choices of the participants.
