In this study, pure Al2O3 and the lower surface of the WC is produced with the method of powder metallurgy hard metals using TiN and TiAlN PVD method of cutting edges in surface coated. Surface coating process is applied only ends of WC. Inserts were applied coating process applied to micro-abrasion wear tests. Coating process implemented and unimplemented cutting edges has been applied to micro-abrasyon wear experiments. The evaluation and interpretation of the test results, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and surface profile mistress was utilized. Micro-abrasive wear tests were performed using a fixed ball method. The results of research and investigations have been specified below. Samples showed the best wear resistance of TiN. However, TiAlN coatings,coating thickness and examined the work of other researchers. TiAlN coatings were found to be superior wear resistance. Insert the sample with the lowest wear resistance is made from pure Al2O3. It was followed with WC, TiN and TiAlN coated samples was followed. TiAlN coating thickness of 1 micron thick, abrasion resistance, even material was found to have a significant impact. Manufactured from pure Al2O3 cutting insert and it is the sample having the lowest wear resistance respectively, WC, TiN and TiAlN coated samples were found to follow. Corrosion resistance of the coating thickness is found to be an important parameter. Increasing speed and load tests of micro-abrasion wear rate and roughness values of the samples were found to be an important parameter.
