Abstract (EN)

Rapid depletion of water resources in agricultural areas, climate change and soil salinization problems are among the important problems that currently exist and expected to continue in future on agricultural production. Determining the tolerance mechanism of strawberry varieties to these stress conditions and the tolerant-sensitive strawberry varieties is of great importance for producers. Therefore, in this thesis study, it was aimed to determine the effects of drought and salinity applications on the physiological and biochemical parameters of ten different strawberry varieties used. Scale evaluation based on morphological observation, number of leaves, leaf area, petiole and palm length, leaf dry weight values; physiologically, leaf temperature, leaf chlorophyll content, photosystem II values, leaf water potential and leaf relative water content; The varieties were evaluated according to their biochemically determined total phenolic substance content, total antioxidant capacity, sugars, succinic acid and proline contents. It was determined that leaf water potential increased under stress conditions. Considering the total sugar content, the average of the control group is 7%, the PEG group is 18.5%, and the salt group is 16.2%. It was determined that PEG application increased the sugar content in nine varieties and salt application in all varieties. Correlation analysis was performed on the data obtained as a result of morphological, physiological and biochemical measurements.
