Abstract (EN)

In recent years, many new materials have been introduced to dentistry and new techniques have been developed. CAD / CAM technology is at the forefront of these innovations, and manufacturers are developing new ceramic materials with superior physical and aesthetic properties that can be used with CAD / CAM. The effects of light transmittance, which is one of the features that most affect the aesthetics of the materials, on the final restoration are frequently examined. In our study, We aimed to evaluate the light transmittance properties of samples of three different ceramic CAD / CAM materials with different translucency, thickness and color. For this reason, from E.max CAD (Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein), Empress CAD (Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein) and LRF Block (GC, Japan) materials, 1mm and 2mm from A1 and A3 blocks with high translucency and low translucency properties The samples in thicknesses were cut with a precision cutting device and polished with 600, 800 and 1200 grit sanders with a sanding machine. Following the sanding process, E.max CAD samples were sintered for crystallization according to the manufacturer's instructions. After all samples were subjected to glazing, one surface of the samples was treated with hydrofluoric acid in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and made ready for the light transmission test. In the study, the light transmittance measurements of the samples were made using the LED Radiometer device (SDI (Victoria, Australia), and the Bluephase N (Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein) LED light device. SEM images were taken to examine the surface differences in the samples. In the evaluation of the data, one-way analysis of variance was used for the comparison of variables with normal distribution, the Tukey multiple comparison test was used for subgroup comparisons, and the independent t test was used for the comparison of paired groups. Results, significance p <0,05 . When the results of our study are evaluated, for all material groups, A1 color samples compared to A3 color samples, 1mm thick samples compared to 2mm thick samples and high translucency samples It has been shown to have higher light transmittance than translucent samples (p=0,0001). No difference was found between E.max CAD and LRF block materials in both 1mm and 2mm thick samples in high translucency block groups in A1 and A3 color (p=0,623) (p=0,160), but lower values ​​were obtained than Empress CAD material (p=0,0001). No significant difference was found between Empress CAD and LRF block samples in 1mm and 2mm thick samples in low translucency block groups in A1 color (p=0,717) (p=0,962), and higher values ​​were observed than E.max CAD samples (p=0,0001). No significant difference was observed between E.max CAD and Empress CAD samples in the low translucency block groups in A3 color and in samples with both 1mm and 2mm thickness (p=0,356) (p=0,695), but lower light transmittance values ​​were measured than the LRF block samples (p=0,0001).
