The effects of nitrogen and farm manure applications on biological activities and essential oil components of dill (Anethum graveolens L.)

In this study, biological activities and essential oil components were examined for Anethum graveolens (L.). This crop were grown in 2016-2017 Breeding Season of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, Research and Application Department of BAIBU. In this season, the crop were grown with different levels of nitrogen (Ammonium nitrate) and different levels of organic fertilizers (Farm manure). It was determined that total phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity in Dill herb were effective in 6 kg/da AN - 12 kg/da an and 750 kg/da farm manure - 1000 kg/da farm manure applications in different doses of ammonium nitrate and farm manure applications. The best antioxidant activity among the n-hexane, dichloromethane and ethanol extracts of dillotine herb was determined by dicloromethane and n-hexane extracts between 1.25-40 mg/ml. According to the results of the research antimicrobial activity; antimicrobial effects of essential oils were found more than the extracts. S.aureus, E.faecalis bacteria with fungus of C.albicans against most effective applications were 6 kg/da AN, 12 kg/da AN and 750 kg/da farm manure. The most effective fertilizer and dosage applications were determined as 6 kg/da AN and 12 kg/da AN and 750 kg/da farm manure. In terms of essential oil components, limonene and dill ether were determined as the main constituents in herbs, apiol, dihydrocarvon, carvantacetone and limonene in seed, carvantoneacetone, apiol, limonene and α-bisabol in leaf. In terms of essential oil components 3 kg/da AN and 1250 kg/da farm manure and 1500 kg/da farm manure applications were effective.
