Comparative analysis of different educational levels according to the paranormal belief: Adana sampling

In this thesis study; it's aimed to analyze the tendencies to paranormal beliefs in terms of various education levels upon Adana sampling. This study includes thatthe variables of age, gender, identity, sect, occupation, political tendency and education level affect paranormal beliefs to what extent, and also whether there are significant differences between each other or not. This study also involves these subjects; what do paranormal beliefs mean, they take their sources from which social reasons and they give what kind of social results, how are these kind of beliefs explained on the areas of religion and science, what is the presence level of this phenomenon among the groups from various education levels and modern beliefs phenomenon taking to shape in modern society. The observable deterioration caused by this problem on social order causes social scientists to lead their academic researches to this area. Because of the fact that paranormal phenomenon mostly results in personality disorders, it is more of a subject discussed in psychology academic researches. However, that it cannot be degraded to only psychological situations and the necessity of being explained also by social phenomenon emphasize the importance of this study. In addition that this subject is not enough paid special attention in Turkey, there is no enough academic research. And that's why, potential different samples can remain hidden. This kind of study reveals a different dimension in terms of analyzing comparatively among the groups from various education levels.
