Abstract (EN)
Steel constructions have wide using in many areas such as buildings, stadiums and factory. The aim of design in these constructions, both safe and economical design are very important parameters. According to aim of using of constructions, the most economical design is aimed by designers. For economical design, castellated columns are used in steel constructions. Also, optimizations technics are present to economical design of constructions. The aim of this study is to determine the optimal shape of web opening to increase load carrying capacity of castellated column and to decrease weight of castellated column considering bulking effect with evolutionary topological optimization technique. Finite element method is employed for analysis with using ANSYS program. The analysis are made for different modes and different iterations. According to analysis results, it is show that obtained optimal castellated column provides material saving.
