Özet (EN)

The objective of this work was to investigate the effects of early or late harvest time on the changing yield and yield component, the seed and fatty acids component, and the aflatoxin concentration level on peanut in the experiment area of Adnan Menderes University in 2008 and 2009 years. The NC-7 is Virginia peanut type cultivar was the material for the study. It was determined that harvest time had statistically significant effects on yield and yield components, oil ration, protein, carbohydrate, ash ration, all fattyacid, Oleic/Linoleic acid ration, aflatoxin B1, B2. The highest pod yield was determinated in 3. harvest time in the both years, because of having a high pod per plant yield, per plant pod number, 100 seed weight, shelling percentage. The protein and oil rations were increased by delaying harvest time, whereas the ration of carbohydrate decreased. The production of aflatoxin wasnt observed in the 1st. and 2nd harvests, which was early harvest time in both years. Aflatoxin B1,which is the most dangerous type in the types of aflatoxin, was determined to have occured during the harvest time as an intense aflatoxin type. Before each harvest time, when the soil moisture was %5 or more than it, aflatoxin was produced by fungi. It was identified that the weather conditions of the region was suitable to production aflatoxin. As a result of this study, although 3. harvest time was observed in terms of the highest pod yield and oil quality, it, which is generally used to harvest time, has problem, due to the formation of substances that threaten human health such as aflatoxin. Since the harvest should be earlier than the 3rd harvest observed, it was suggested that earlier cultivars or earlier planting time.
