Özet (EN)

In this study, the plough shares produced from the steel DIN EN 10 083 (30 MnB5) which is widely used for ploughs equipment, were coated with the 20 ?m hard chromium by using the method of electrolysis, 20 ?m electroless nickel by using the chemical treatments and 4 ?m TiN by using the PVD method to be able to increase their wearing resistance. In order to observe the wearing behaviours of the plough shares whose mechanical features were obtained after the coating process, specimens were experimented in the wearing channel containing the sandy-clayey-loamy soil with the 5.8 km/h pulling speed. During the experiment, wearing of the coating thickness was observed. At the end of the experiment, Specimens were analyzed metallographicly by scanning on Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), examining their Energy Dispersive Spectrum (EDS). In the situation which the plough shares were subjected to the abrasive wearing in the soil; approximately, 2846 m. for TiN coating, 4125 m for electroless nickel coating and 6482 m. for hard chromium coating wore. It was found that the average plowing length for wearing of 1 ?m coating was 736 m. for TiN, 217 m. for electroless nickel and 319 m. for hard chromium. It could be said that the effective factors of wearing can be coating thickness, coefficient of friction, surface roughness and adhesion of coating. Key Words : Metal Coating, chromium, nickel, TiN, Wear, Abrasive wear, Coating, Plough, Plough?s shares
