Özet (EN)

In this study, the anaerobic treatability of the wastewaters of starch, fruit juice and whey production were investigated by using anaerobic batch tests. As a result of batch-tests, COD removal efficiencies were obtained for each of the wastewaters, higher than 90%. In the batch tests, sucrose and glucose, gelatin, and sunflower oil were used for the representation of different organic groups, such as carbohydrates, proteins and oils, respectively. When the sludge loading rates varied between 0.42- 0.47 g/g, the obtained biogas productions, 450 for sugar, 490 for glucose, 380 for gelatin, and 420 mlN/CODinf for oil. were determined. The anaerobic biodegradability studies of orange juice, milk, beer and glucose were carried out by anaerobic sludge which was taken from a municipal wastewater treatment plant. The study was also subjected the relationship between the biogas production and the energy contents of the substrats. At the end of the batch tests, under constant organic loading rate (0.2 g/g) biogas production and energy content ratio for milk, orange juice, beer, and glucose 95, 88, 92 and 95 mlNBiogas /kcalsubstrat were determined, respectively. There is a ratio between COD and energy content (1gCOD=5.25kcal) was calculated from the results. An anaerobic membrane bioreactor, which treating the wastewater of bioethanol production from wheat, was operated for one year. The COD removal efficiencies were obtained at least of 99% while the volumetric loading rate was elevated gradually from 0.2 to 8 kgCOD/m3*day. The results obtained from the study was employed in the model, so-called ADM1, a restrict relationship between test results and outputs of the model was observed (higher than 95%). It can be concluded that the ADM1 is a succesful tool for the prediciton of anaerobic treatability studies.
