Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in the experimental fields of Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Agriculture, Agricultural Application and Research Center in 2019 in order to determine some agronomic and physiological characteristics of different kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.) genotypes. In the research, 48 kenaf genotypes and 6 varieties (Eveglades 41, Eveglades 71, Tainung 1, Tainung 2, SF 459 and Whitten) obtained from the German Gene Bank were used as material. Trials were planted in 3-blocks with 16 kenaf genotypes and 6 witness varieties in each block, according to the augmented trial design. In the study, observations and measurements of plant height, stem diameter, stem yield, stem core yield, bark yield, stem core rate, bark rate, leaf chlorophyll index and leaf area index were made. As a result of the research; K-8, K-12, K-45 and K-46 lines and Tainung 2 and Whitten cultivars stood out in terms of important agronomic and physiological characteristics such as stem yield, stem core yield, bark yield, leaf chlorophyll index and leaf area index. Positive and significant relationships were determined between plant height, leaf chlorophyll index and leaf area index and stem core yield, bark yield, stem core ratio and bark ratio.
