Ali ATALAYAssoc. Prof. Dr. Sadettin GÜRSÖZIn this study Yalova incisi grape cultivar with 140 Ru and 1103 P Americanrootstocks having different resistance levels to CaCO3 were used as plant material.Genotypes were grown in pots including CaCO3 concentrations of 10%, 30% and50%. For each medium, 4 different Fe applications were performed. These are:1) 20 ppm Fe (as FeSO4) + farmyard manure (100 g/ pot / 5 kg soil), 2) 20 ppm Fe(as Fe-EDDHA) 3) 20 ppm Fe (as FeSO4) + Citric acid (as 10% percentage ofapplied FeSO4), 4) Control (soil without Fe). In order to determine the effects ofapplications on chlorosis degree, total chlorophyll, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b,shoot length, shoot fresh and dry weight, root length, root fresh and dry weight, leafarea, total and active Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, N, P, K, Ca and Mg concentrations of leaveswere examined. At the end of the study, it was determined that the differences betweengenotypes, CaCO3 and Fe applications were statistically important.Yalova incisi grown in 50% CaCO3 included medium was found moreeffective than 140 Ru and 1103 P rootstocks as in Fe, Zn, Ca P and Mg uptakeability. With the increase in the CaCO3 amounts in growing media, it was apparentthat chlorosis increased linearly by CaCO3 raise, in contrast to decrease in Fe andother macro and micro element uptakes. Besides, low measurements among theparameters shoot, root and leaf characteristics linked with the increase in CaCO3rates were obtained. Finally, beneficial effects of Fe-EDDHA and FeSO4 + Citricacid applications on other characteristics examined were determined, while generalFe treatments had alike influences as in decrease within chlorosis severe.Key Words: Grapevine, lime, iron, fertigation, chlorosis.II
