Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of increasing sulfur doses (0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 g planting) on yield and quality of the feeder corn (Vigna unguiculata L.) were investigated. The experiment was carried out in the 2015-2016 raising season in the experimental fields of the Faculty of Agriculture of Yozgat Bozok University, in three replications, according to the Split Parcel Trial Design in Random Blocks. Effects of sulfur doses, plant height, stem diameter, hay yield, protein yield and nutrient contents on the study were investigated. The average plant height (49.0 cm) determined in the first year of study was higher than the second year (39.2 cm). Hay and protein yield was ranged from 612.0 – 806.3 kg/da and 91.4 – 140.1 kg/da in 2015, 409.1 – 618.6 kg/da and 73.2 – 132.2 kg/da in 2016,510.5 – 665.9 kg/da and 82.3 – 132.8 kg/da averaged years, respectively. ADF and NDF content in averaged years ranged from 26.7 – 29.4 % and 31.7 – 34.6 %, respectively. Phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium content was determined 0.38, 2.02, 1.33, 0.37 % and 0.38, 2.62, 1.54, 0.47 %, respectively. All the mineral content determined in second year was higher than first year.
