Abstract (EN)
Today, there are rapid developments especially in automobile technology. The disc brake system in buses and trucks, which are both automobiles and heavy vehicles, is a system that slows the vehicle's wheel rotation and stops it. When braking to stop vehicles, heat is released and can easily be dispersed because the system is open to the atmosphere. Manufacturers try to overcome this situation with short-lived and heavy steel discs.Transient thermal and structural analysis of disc brake rotor disc made of different materials in urban bus brake assembly is to analyze its thermomechanical behavior under certain braking conditions with the help of FEM-based ANSYS student license. After applying some boundary conditions, the deformation, shear stress, elastic strain and equivalent stress values of the disc are taken to analyze the stresses and strains occurring in the disc brake.Air and disc brake resistor strengths are made by using different design materials. It has been determined that deformation is highest in aluminum, least in stainless steel, equivalent stress is highest in ventilated aluminum disc, breaking stress is highest in stainless steel, elastic strain is close for the whole materials.
