Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to conduct drought analyses at diffeent times cales of the Ceyhan basin with different methods, to compare the results of the methods, and to reveal drought-prone areas and to map the drought frequencies observed according to the drought categories of these areas. For this purpose, drought analysis was performed for the Percent of Normal Index (PNI), the Deciles Index (DI) and the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) using MDM (Meteorological Drought Monitor) and SPI-SL-6.EXE softwares for 8 meteorological stations located in the Ceyhan basin. The results of the analysis were graphed, dry and wet periods were detected, the results were compared among the methods. When the annual results of the methods were compared, it was seen that the results were largely similar. When the results of the NYI and DI methods were compared for the seasons, it was seen that they did not give similar results.
