Abstract (EN)
This experiment was carried out in Çukurova University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation in the year of 2018 in a randomized block design with 3 replications under Çukurova conditions. In the study, changes in some physiological and morphological characteristics of the first crop sweet sorghum plant at different irrigation water levels were investigated. In the research, 4 different irrigation water levels were formed during the plant development periods: 100% irrigation (I1), 75% irrigation (I2), 50% irrigation (I3) and 25% irrigation (I4) and no water (I0). In the study; irrigation waters were applied 414 mm (I1), 324 mm (I2), 233 mm (I3) and 142 mm (I4) into the treatments, with respectively. The dry matter yield were obtained ranged from 6020 to 3380 kg da-1, and the highest dry matter yield was obtained in the fully irrigation level. The leaf area index values were changed in the study ranged from 8.4 to 6.1 and the highest leaf area index value was obtained in the fully irrigation level. Irrigation water use efficiencies (IWUE) were determined as 14.5 and 29.5 kg/da mm. WUE efficiencies were determined as 9.9 kg/da mm and 11 kg/da mm. The highest values of sorghum plant made in physiological measurements were obtained from I1 treatment. It was determined that the highest net photosynthesis value measured from I1 treatment was approximately 53 µmolm-2s-1, transpiration value was approximately 6.2 mmolm-2s-1 and stomatal conductivity value was approximately 738 mmolm-2s-1.
