Özet (EN)
Objective: This study was carried out with the aim of determining the effect of the caprification frequency on the fruit set, yield and fruit quality of the Bursa Siyahı fig variety grown for fresh consumption in the Aydın province for the formation of the main crop. Material and Methods: This study was carried out in the 2019 vegetation period in the parcel consisting of Bursa Siyahı fig varieties, where Y Trellis and cordon training system was applied, planted in the application area of Aydın Adnan Menderes University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture in 2012. The experiment was planned with 3 replications and 10 trees in each replication for both training systems, and the thesis was carried out on a total of 60 trees. Selected shoots were taken into isolation bags and caprified 2, 3, 4 and 5 times in a controlled manner. Within the scope of the experiment, phenological, pomological and morphological observations and analyzes were made on the trees of Bursa Siyahı fig variety. Results: When all the findings obtained from the study were evaluated in general, it was seen that very healthy results could not be obtained due to the problems in the cordon system, but it was hopeful considering the growth of shoot length and average fruit number in the shoot. Considering the number of fruits in the shoot, it was determined that, contrary to the traditional practice (2-3 times caprification), 5 times caprification had very important contributions especially on the fruit set rate. Conclusion: It has been concluded that it can be applied after being stored for a while even in simple conditions such as refrigerator, even if the producers increase the frequency of caprification out of the ordinary and even if the caprifig fruit is not in the market in this process.
