Abstract (EN)

In this study, behaviour of suspended ceiling system, which of the different qualities that are being used in our country, under dynamic loading conditions similar to those under earthquake action is investigated. In the study also investigated the effectiveness of different types of suspension system and tiles. In addition, it also examined the effectiveness of the carier end clips which proposed for improving the performance of the current situation in the earthquake.3.0 m-2.4 m steel suspension frame is used to carried out dynamic experimentswithin the capabilities of the laboratory and the shaking table.Dynamic propertiesof suspension framewere determined before performed the dynamic test.Loading protocol to be used in the dynamic tests of suspended ceiling systems were determinedin the light of dynamic characteristics of suspension frame, national and international regulations.A total of nine different configurations created within the scope of an experimental study.Six configuration with high-quality materials, the three configurations created using low quality material. In three of the six configuration with a high-end clips evaluate the efficacy of the carrier. In three of the six configuration, which high quality material is used, investigated effectiveness the carier end clips.Assembly technique of suspended ceiling systems to the suspension frame for low quality and high quality materials made in separately accordance with field practices. As a result of the carried outdynamic tests, material and workmanship quality have a significant effect seismic performance of suspended ceiling systems.Considering the seismic performance of carrier elements, clip in systems performed better than T24 systems. There was no effectto the weight of the tile at high quality suspended ceiling systems. Finally, carier end clipsshowed a positive effect in earthquake performance of theT24 system but no effect was observed in clip in system.
