Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study is to search the relationship between soil respiration, soil organic carbon, nitrogen content, dehydrogenase activities and mycorrhizal development of different ages of eucalyptus trees. The research was carried out at Çukurova University, Rhizosphere (Root Biology) and Soil Biotechnology laboratories and Tarsus Forestry Research Institute, Fehmi Güresin plantation on 5, 7 and 10 years old eucalyptus site. The experiment have been carried out on three each group eucalyptus plantations in the Regional Forestry and Forestry Management area which is located in Tarsus. The eucalyptus (E.camaldulensis) tree in the experiment plan for each age group treatments such as (SI) shaved the three plants from soil surface and plowed, (SII) Shaved without plowing, (SIII) Control without shaved the tree plants, agricultural area and natural area. CO2 respiration, dehydrogenase activity, number of mycorrhiza spore, soil organic carbon and nitrogen contents and mycorrhizal colonization were analyzed. The results are shown that generally for all ages eucalyptus plantation the highest soil organic carbon, nitrogen content, dehydrogenase activity, number of mycorrhiza spores and soil respiration were found in S3 treatment without shaving and plowing treatment. Less organic C, N content, dehydrogenase activity, number of mycorrhiza spore numbers and soil respiration were measured in S1 treatment (sheaved and plowed treatment) for all three age plantation.
