Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out in the silages of Kahraman and Kırklar oat (Avena sativa) varieties harvested at different periods; In order to investigate the effects of different harvesting period on chemical structure, some feed values and dry matter and crude protein degradabilities in rumen, it was carried out in Gaziosmanpaşa University Agricultural Application and Research Center trial field in 2016-2017 vegetation period. Kahraman and Kırklar oat cultivars were cultivated in randomized blocks, 2x4 Factorial Experimental Design, three replications; The silage samples were incubated in Karayaka rams, randomized blocks, with a cannulated weight of approximately 55 kg, in a trial setting, with nylon bag method for 0.16, 24, 36, 72 and 96 hours with three replicate. CP and ADF content of Kahraman cultivar were higher than Kırklar cultivar but there was no difference in NDF content. As the vegetation period progressed, DM, NDF and ADF levels increased, but CP and ash amount decreased. Kahraman cultivar had higher DMI potential and higher Relative feed value, but it was found that NEL and DMD contents were higher in Kırklar cultivar. As the harvest period progressed, DMI, NEL, DMD and RFV levels of the varieties decreased. The effective degradability rates of Kahraman cultivar were higher than Kırklar cultivar. In parallel with the progression of the vegetation period, it has been found that the effective dry matter degradability in the rumen decreases. As a result, it is thought that the effect of harvest time on the quality values of oat varieties is very important.
