Abstract (EN)

In this study, torsional irregularities occur in two types of curtained-framed bearing systems have different curtain positioning in plan symmetrical to y-axis torsions with the effect of horizontal loads and not symmetrical to x-axis. Aim of the study is to examine the effect of increase in ground storey height of a structure has a torsional irregularity, on torsional irregularity. In this study, by choosing two kinds of structures have different curtain positionings in the plan and designing 32 types of structures that have 5, 8, 11, 14 floors and of which ground clearance change as 3 m, 3,5 m, 4 m and 4,5 m and their inter-storey drifts have been examined. In static and dynamical analyses of models, İdeCAD Static 7 program has been utilized and mode superposition method has been used in the analyses. Results have been determined by considering Regulations for the Buildings to be built in Earthquake Areas 2017. When results have been compared, it is concluded that positioning of the curtain in the plan effects torsional irregularity, moreover as ground storey height increases, coefficient value of the torsional irregularity occur in this storey also increases. Key Words:Torsional Irregularity, Soft Storey Irregularity, Bearing Curtain, Base Shear Force, Column Shear Force, Inter-Story Drift.
