Effect of different zeolite doses on nitrate mobility and growth of bell pepper (Capsicum annum L.)

Abstract (EN)

Zeolite reduces the washing of nitrogenous fertilizer because of its high selectivity to ammonia and its ammonium exchange capacity. The object of the zeolite commonly found on the work by administering different dosages to be applied to the plant root zone soil behavior in pepper plants of different nitrogen amounts in Turkey and to reveal the effects on plant growth. Doğanay F1 peppers were used in this study.In the experiment, zeolite application amounts were applied to the parcels as control (0 kg / da zeolite), 125 kg / da, 250 kg / da and 500 kg / da. Nitrogen doses N0: control 4 kg / da N, N1: 8 kg / da N, N2: 12 kg / da N, N3: 16 kg / da N and potassium 14 kg / da K2O and phosphorus 8 kg / da P2O5 it was applied. In this study, zeolite applications and nitrogen applications increased pepper fruit yield statistically. The highest fruit yield was 955 g/plant in Z3N3 application. The leaf nitrate content of the plant was 68.4 mg NO3- kg in Z0N0 application and 113.2 mg NO3- kg in Z3N3 application. The amount of nitrate measured in the soil increased with nitrogen applications. The results show that zeolite should be able to take advantage of nitrate nitrogen retention in soil.
