Abstract (EN)

Faruk Duman is one of the important writers who made a name for himself with his essays, stories and novels in the Turkish Literature period after 2000. The author, who was born in 1974/Ardahan, has a unique artist identity that combines traditional narrative forms such as folk literature elements such as fairy tales, legends, epics and folk tales with contemporary fiction forms in his works from structural and thematic perspectives, and works with his own language and style. He deals with social issues such as the limited opportunities of town and country people, criticism of historical and political events, the troubles of middle and low class people, and individual issues such as identity rupture, extinction of the self, psychological tensions and existential problems together in his works. The background that makes the main themes and episodes of the narratives visible is nature in general. Nature, which is indispensable in Faruk Duman's narratives, is a powerful guide that illuminates the whole socio-cultural environment in the axis of the narrated period and is the trigger of the emotional states of the fictional characters. Faruk Duman, who gives importance to language and frequently emphasizes the importance of narration, has developed a unique artistic understanding with the language and style he has created. With its fluent and gripping language, it has an impressive style that draws the reader into the text without getting bored. In this study, Faruk Duman's stories and novels were examined, the structural elements and thematic fictions determined in the light of the findings were analyzed, evaluations were made on the use of language based on certain data, and the author's literary world was tried to be analyzed.
