The differences between immigrant generations in Fatih Akin's films

After the Second World War, the West Europe countries entered an industrialized period swiftly. This period caused to need of wors force. In the consequence of the mutual compacts in 1961, an immigration movement started from Turkey especially to Germany. Germany, that has been doing yhe honours to Turkish immigrants for over 50 years, is trying to close the current workforce gap by demanding workforce from Turkey lately.Immigration has an important effect both on individual, family, society and on identity troubles. The immigrants that have located in new states except for their own nations, have started to gain their new identites with growing generation by and by. These immigrant groups are defined as modern diasporic identities and they have a cultural structure particular to them. The identification describing of the first generation and next generations immigrants, their own values, the relations and problems with the community has been varied.Fatih Akın is a German director and Turkish man who adopts the hybrid identity in diaspora.
