This thesis presents a critical edition and analytical study of Aziz Mahmud Hüdayi's Qur'anic commentary entitled "Nafāʾis al-Majālis". The tafsir represents a rare synthesis between traditional (naqlī) exegesis and intuitive Sufi (dhawqī) interpretation, avoiding both excessive symbolism and rigid literalism. Despite its spiritual depth and scholarly merit, this work has remained largely overlooked in academic circles, prompting the need for a comprehensive scholarly treatment. The study is based on a valuable 11th-century AH manuscript and employs a rigorous academic methodology. It includes the verification of Qur'anic verses and Prophetic traditions, biographical notes on key figures, and the documentation of narrative sources. The thesis analyzes Hüdayi's exegetical approach, the integration of Hadith and Companions' sayings, and the grounding of his mystical insights in classical Sufi thought. The significance of this research lies in its contribution to re-evaluating Sufi tafsir within academic discourse, offering a balanced model that respects traditional sources while addressing the spiritual and ethical dimensions of the Qur'an. The tafsir's pedagogical tone and moral depth position it as a valuable resource for contemporary Islamic education. This work aims to revive scholarly interest in such interpretive approaches and serve as a useful reference for researchers and educators alike.
