He was an officer at hard times of Ottoman Empire. Unlike his contemporaries waswriting on western style, he wrote poetries wich belengs to classical Ottoman tradition. Publishedcopies of this particular divan at the Library of IRCICA was the primary resource of the thesis.The Divan comprises of 120 pages, 1 mesnevi, 1 n?at, 8 kaside, 244 dates, 168 gazel, 2 müstezad,2 tahmis, 1 lugaz, 17 kıta, 21 müfred and 2 mısra-ı azâde.Key words: Ottoman literature, XIX.
