In this research, the aim was to use Feliks (Felix) Tomaszewski's book on Studies for Flute, Book No.5 to make an investigation from the point of view of approaches to the target investigate. In this methodological book, 40 different studies were evaluated from the point of view of cognitive and motional approaches. Accordingly, the target of the study methods and the attempts towards this aim have been established. The fundamental reasons for this thesis are the facts that there has not been any previous study of Tomaszewski's book on Studies for Flute, Book No.5 in Turkey and no analysis has previously been performed on the contents of this book. The nature of the research carried out is descriptive and the analyses of the methodological contents is qualitative. The 12 different methods studied have been tabulated from the angle of the target approaches and the outcomes are shown as per cent distributions. Results are discussed qualitatively. It is suggested that, as a reference source, this research will be useful to trainers of flute playing, current or future, educators and students who may be undergoing or considering training by this method.
