The analysis and classification of felsefe mecmuası (the journal of philosophy) and felsefe ve içtimaiyat mecmuası (the journal of philosophy and sociology)

The main object of our study called The Analysis and Classification ofFelsefe Mecmuası (The Journal of Philosophy) and Felsefe ve çtimaiyatMecmuası (The Journal of Philosophy and Sociology), is to determine themain subject matters which were focused and debated by philosophers intheir publication period and then to establish the positions and contributionsof the journals in their period in particular and also within the Turkishphilosophical tradition in general, in terms of analysis of the philosophicalarticles in the journals.In the first chapter, we have focused on the general structure of theWestern and Islamic Philosophies as a background to analyze thephilosophical articles in this journals and to determine the position of thejournals in the Turkish philosophical tradition as a whole. In this context,influences of this philosophical traditions on the Turkish thought have alsobeen summarized.In the second chapter, we have focused on the contents of ?FelsefeMecmuası? (The Journal of Philosophy) and ?Felsefe ve çtimaiyatMecmuası? (The Journal of Philosophy and Sociology). In this context, wehave investigated their adventure for publication and textual organizations aswell as their physical outlooks.In the third chapter, we have tried to analyze the philosophical articlesin the journals and to determine the philosophical tendencies of their writersin particular and journals in general.As a result, in this study we generally have presented the contributionsof ?Felsefe Mecmuası? (The Journal of Philosophy) and ?Felsefe ve çtimaiyatMecmuası? (The Journal of Philosophy and Sociology), to the intellectualdimension of Turkish society.
