Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between teachers candidates' self-efficacy belief and their attitudes towards teaching proffesion and this situation examined various variables. Sampling of this study consist of 505 (Female: 383, Male: 122) 4th grade Primary Deparment teachers candidates and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade Science teachers candidates, in 2016-2017 Fall Semester academic years studying at Education Faculty of Akdeniz University. This study was used by "Teacher Self-efficaay Scale" which was developed by Tschannen- Moran and Hoy (2001) and into Turkish by Çapa, Çakıroğlu ve Sarıkaya (2003) and also "Attitude Scale Towards Teaching Profession" which was developed by Üstüner (2006). To data analysis belonging to teacher candidates have been used from descriptive analysis, one-way ANOVA, independent samples t-test and Pearson Correlation. Result of this study revealed that teacher candidates' self-efficacy beliefs didn't differ significantly in terms of gender, age, graduated high school, academic achievement (GPA), depertment, place of residence. Also, resulf of this study revealed that teacher candidates' attitude beliefs differ gender and academic achievement (GPA) but didn't differ age, graduated high school, depertment, place of residence. Lastly, moderate but negative correlation was found between teachers candidates' self-efficacy belief and their attitudes towards teaching proffesion.
